Ana Aranha is an investigative reporter based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She frequently covers the Amazon, her last stories followed the impacts of large power plants, illegal logging and indigenous population.
For her work Ana was awarded eleven journalism awards. She collaborates with national and international media and has written for the Guardian Weekly, El Mundo and the Brazilian branches of Marie Claire, Rolling Stones and GQ. From 2004 to 2011 Ana worked as reporter in Epoca, the second largest weekly news magazine in Brazil. She is currently coordinating the journalism production in Repórter Brasil, communication NGO.
Ana has recently been part of the team that produced "Jaci - Seven Sins of an Amazonian Work", documentary about the lives of the workers who built one of the country's largest power plants. She was responsible for the script, production and executive production. In 2014, Ana got a Masters degree in Documentary from Queen Mary University of London.
